Kids on a yacht: can you? You should!

Family tours are our favorite format. Here's how it works — from a father and captain.

The 50/50 formula

Half the time is quiet rest for adults, half is the kids' program: swims, a "young sailor's watch" at the helm, knots, crab hunts, snorkeling with fish. Kids don't get bored aboard — the sea keeps them busy.

A crew of families

On family tours we match the crew so other families with similar-age kids are aboard. The kids bond as a pack; the adults finally exhale. Shared holidays bond families amazingly — I see it every season.

When to go

Best with kids: Turkey in June and September (warm sea, mild sun), Greece in summer, velvet season until early November. For autumn school break we run a special family tour along the Lycian coast.

There's also a separate format — the kids' sailing camp: a sea camp where children learn real sailing.
