First time on a yacht: a beginner's guide

You need zero experience. Here's how it all really works.

Find my tour

Do I need experience?

No. The captain does all the work: route, sails, mooring, weather. Want to learn the helm and the sails? I'll gladly teach you (guests love it). Don't want to? Just relax.

Is it safe?

I'm a licensed captain (IYT/ICC) with 20,000+ nm and 100+ tours. Routes follow proven waters with the forecast in mind. For beginners we pick calm sheltered gulfs. The briefing happens in your first hour aboard — no scare tactics.

A day aboard

Breakfast on deck → plan for the day → a 2-4 hour passage (someone at the helm, someone sunbathing) → anchorage: swimming, SUP, snorkeling → lunch → another bay or a town → dinner aboard or in a seaside taverna → stars like you've never seen.

What is the boat kitty?

The shared pot for food, fuel and moorings. Collected at the start, spent transparently, receipts shown at the end. Usually €150-250 per person per week.

Where to start

Pick your dates and message me — I'll match the format: a berth, a cabin or the whole yacht.
